Trusted Wildlife Removal Experts

Brookhaven is one of the more densely developed cities in DeKalb County, and that density doesn't reduce wildlife activity, it redirects it. The Nancy Creek watershed runs through the city, and that creek corridor gives raccoons, opossums, and skunks a direct path into residential neighborhoods and backyards. At Grade a Critter Wildlife & Pest Solutions, we understand how urban wildlife moves and where it ends up.

The City of Brookhaven does not provide services to remove nuisance wildlife from private property, so when an animal gets into your home or causes damage on your lot, a licensed private company is your only option. We respond quickly, inspect thoroughly, and close off how animals are getting in.

What Our Customers Say

FAQs

  • What are your hours and how quickly can you respond?

We take calls 7 days a week. For active situations like an animal inside your home, call (770) 713-4552 and we'll get to you as fast as we can.

  • How do I know if I have raccoons or squirrels vs. rats in my attic?

Timing and sound are good clues. Squirrels are active during the day, raccoons move around at dusk and overnight, and rats tend to be heard late at night. Droppings and damage patterns also differ between species. A proper inspection confirms what you're dealing with before any removal work starts.

  • I'm renting my property out. Am I responsible for wildlife removal?

That depends on your lease terms and the situation. In most cases, a landlord is responsible for structural issues that allow wildlife in. We can work with property owners and tenants and provide documentation of entry points and damage if needed.

  • How long does a full inspection and exclusion job typically take?

It varies by property size and the number of entry points. Most residential inspections take an hour or two. Exclusion work can take a full day for larger jobs. We give you a clear scope before anything starts.

  • Do skunks under a shed or deck always spray during removal?

Not when handled correctly. We use trapping and removal methods designed to keep the animal calm. Skunks typically only spray when they feel cornered or threatened, and we know how to avoid that.

  • Can wildlife spread disease to my pets or family?

Yes. Raccoons can carry rabies and roundworm. Bats are also a rabies concern. Opossums and rodents carry fleas and other parasites. If you've had direct animal contact or found droppings near living areas, call us and we can assess the risk.
